We are a group of women keeping an ancient form of weaving alive.

Within a few months of launching Habitat Hammocks, Head Weaver Stephanie Koithan realized she needed help in order to grow. So she built two more looms and started teaching her friends how to weave. Her bestie Jahné became First Weaver. Now other women are learning how to keep this ancient weaving technique alive with a flexible “side hustle.” Our love for each other—and the craft—goes into each hammock we make.
